Since 1776 Brakspear has been brewing beer in Oxfordshire. We remain one of the very few breweries to make beer using the ‘double drop’ brewing system. Beer coming from our brewhouse starts at the top-fermenting vessel. After 16 hours the beer falls naturally or is ‘dropped’ into the vessel below by our master brewers, it’s this system which gives Brakspear its unique character. Brakspear is proud to sponsor BBC Countryfile Live.
