We are a family-run independent bookseller in Bath with bookshops in Edinburgh, St Andrews, and Ely.

We have recently moved into the Georgian listed building in the centre of Bath, opposite the Abbey, formally known as the Friends Meeting House. It is the biggest independent bookshop to open in England for many decades, with handcrafted bookcases, multiple floors, a gallery, rolling library ladders and a huge range of over 75,000 titles.

At the bookshop we host an ongoing author events programme with some of the biggest names in the literary world. These range from author talks and lectures, poetry readings to live cookery demos and literary walks.

We are open from 8.30am to 9pm every day (including Sundays) and we serve complimentary pots of tea and coffee as you browse along with friendly bookish advice!

We're excited to be the Supporter of the Meet the Authors and Book Signings tent at BBC Countryfile Christmas in the Park. See you there!
