BBC Countryfile Christmas In The Park

Covid-19 Policy

BBC Countryfile Christmas in the Park is a brand-new outdoor show covering over 7 acres of parkland, surrounded by 350 acres of farmland. The tented spaces in the Countryfile village are planned with your comfort in mind.

The event space has been designed to exceed the required space for the expected visitor numbers.

The safety of visitors, exhibitors and staff is at the forefront of our minds at BBC Countryfile Christmas in the Park

Therefore, in line with the current government and the relevant authorities’ guidance, we ask that all adult visitors (aged 18 years+) supply one of the following:

  • NHS COVID pass
  • Proof of a negative PCR or Lateral Flow test
  • Proof of natural immunity or your vaccination status

In addition:

  • Please wear a mask in all indoor areas
  • Social distance wherever possible
  • Regularly wash and sanitise your hands

Below are some more details on how we are keeping you safe, these will be continually updated in line with government and the relevant authorities’ guidance.

NHS Test and Trace

To support NHS Test and Trace and reduce the spread of the virus we are encouraging all attendees to check at BBC Countryfile Christmas In The Park.  An NHS QR code poster will be displayed as you enter.

Access

BBC Countryfile Christmas In The Park has been meticulously planned in line to form a thorough Covid-19 risk assessment to protect everyone that attends the event.

We have carefully calculated the available space across the site and set a capacity limit, which offers our visitors lots of circulation space and will reduce the build-up of crowds and pinch points.

Venues will have controlled capacities with separate entrances and exits to reduce crowd congestion.

Ventilation

Our open-air setting is in the great outdozors, on the grounds of Charlton Park and amongst the beautiful arboretum, with well ventilated indoor temporary venues.

The event features indoor and outdoor activities and attractions, so there’s something for everyone to feel safe and comfortable.

We are encouraging our visitors to wear masks within indoor venues

Cleaning

We are increasing how often we clean surfaces, especially those that are touched a lot.  Please use the hand sanitiser stations provided and clean your hands frequently.

Trained Staff

Staff will be briefed and trained to support you and create a safe environment where you can enjoy all the activities and entertainment available at BBC Countryfile Christmas In The Park.

We will be extra vigilant in making sure that the site is constantly monitored.

If at any time you have questions or need assistance, please approach a member of our team who will be happy to help.
